Continental Airlines Boeing 727-200

Continental Airlines brought Boeing 727 service to Albuquerque beginning in 1967 with the -100 model and elevating to the -200 stretch model in 1969. The 727’s first supplemented Continental’s Boeing 720 and Douglas DC-9 jet fleet but slowly replaced both aircraft by 1974, becomming the only narrow-body jet to be used by Continental. The 727’s would go on to serve Continental well into the 1990’s before they were retired.
