additional information
Trans-Texas Airways, TTA, began service to Albuquerque as well as Santa Fe, Clovis, Roswell, Carlsbad, and Hobbs, New Mexico in November, 1963 using Douglas DC-3 aircraft. TTA took over the feeder service to southeast New Mexico and west Texas from Continental’s Airlines. The DC-3’s were soon replaced with larger Convair 240, followed by Convair 600 turboprop aircraft. TTA was the last major scheduled airline to serve Albuquerque with the DC-3 when the last aircraft departed on February 1, 1968. Aircraft numbers N49551 and N34592 are on record of landing here.
